Biografie
Michelle Dickson is the Director Strategy at Arts Council England.
She led on the organisation’s ten year strategy, Let’s Create, 2020-2030 and its first delivery plan for 2021-2024. Michelle has responsibility for oversight of the Creative People outcome and for ACE’s work to support individuals working in the cultural sector, and works on the Investment Principles and major funding programmes such as the 2023-2026 National Portfolio, National Lottery Project Grants and Developing Your Creative Practice. She was the Arts Council’s Programme Lead for the government’s Culture Recovery Fund, which was a £1.57bn programme to support the cultural sector through the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Michelle is a certified coach, and has previously worked as Director, North and the National Director of Touring for Arts Council England, Director and Chief Executive of Oxford Playhouse theatre, and for The British Council and Ambassador Theatre Group.
