Roy Cremers
Biografie
Roy Cremers (*1983) initiated the idea for a crowdfunding website for art projects in 2009 at the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts . Voordekunst.nl was launched on 4 November 2010 and has been run as an independent, non-profit foundation since 1 July 2011. voordekunst employs 5 staff and operates from Amsterdam. Over the past 5 years, voordekunst has raised a total of € 9 million from more than 92,000 donors, providing funding for 1,625 art projects. Roy studied Art History and Communication Sciences.
